UMass Campus Bookstore Sees Merchandise Sales Increase | New

The UMass men’s ice hockey team brought the campus back to life after winning their first-ever National Championship title.
Now, many students want to show their UMass pride by buying all the new clothes they can get.
The manager of the UMass bookstore here on campus who said that right after the team won, their sales completely increased.
The UMass Minutemen won the national championship trophy for the first time in the history of the program, creating a lot of excitement here on campus. Now students want to be a part of it all by looking to wear the latest gear with champions written on it.
UMass Bookstore Marketing and Sales Director Courtney Weiand said the bookstore was busy.
“We had a lot of people shopping on our website, usually we have about 25-50 people shopping on our website at a time, right after the game we had over 400 people shopping on our website both, and it’s been consistent ever since, ”Weiand said.
Weiand said they currently have Frozen Four Championship merchandise in store, but National Championship merchandise is not yet ready and should be in store by this weekend.
For those of you wondering if there will be some sort of parade or other celebrations for this major accomplishment, athletic director Ryan Bamford said plans are already underway. He said: “Stay tuned, resolve the details now and should be able to share information with the public very soon.”
