When Wayne Glenn, a Milwaukee Bucks fan, saw his wife eagerly looking at clothes at the Fiserv Forum Pro Shop earlier this season, he knew where his holiday shopping was going.
âMy wife is probably the biggest Bucks fan I know,â Glenn said on a recent shopping expedition. “She underlined things … so we’re looking for very specific things.”
Ahead of Monday night’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the store was neck and neck with customers like Glenn looking to update their gear for themselves or for other NBA Championship celebrations.
Business was booming: the five clerks working at the checkouts had barely a moment to spare as customers filled the queue, many with jerseys and sweatshirts in hand.
âWith the Bucks stuff, you can’t go wrong if they’re fans. Whatever you get, they’re going to wear it,â Glenn said.
Milwaukee Bucks sales increase
With fans returning to Fiserv Forum games this fall – just after the team’s first championship in 50 years – the Bucks are seeing a surge in merchandise sales.
In November, the online store saw about four times more sales than in the past two years, said Michael Belot, senior vice president of Bucks Ventures and Development, which oversees the Bucks Pro Shop and Bucks merchandise. .
âBetween the months of November and December, we will definitely more than double what we have done this year than any other November-December,â Belot said.
In-store shopping is also important, whether it’s for fans attending games or shopping for the holiday season.
âIn December, people are definitely in full gift mode,â Belot said.
Other retailers like Kohl’s and Dick’s Sporting Goods also carry Bucks clothing. Kohls said he saw deer-themed Christmas shopping.
âSince the start of the holiday season, Kohl’s has seen demand for our Bucks merchandise, as well as championship-specific products for giveaways and personal giveaways, which we are excited to offer our customers during the holidays and in 2022 as the season continues, âthe company said in an email.
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s # 34 jersey, of course, is a bestseller
At the Pro Shop, the bestseller, unsurprisingly, is the # 34 jersey of NBA Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.
âWe stopped here to see the Bucks and watch Giannis on his birthday. I’m probably going to get a few jerseys for myself, probably Giannis’s and a throwback, âsaid Quinton Hanson, a fan of the game.
Kathy Georgopoulos was at the game with her three teenage girls from Chicago.
âWe came right after school. Everything Giannis is to these girls, we just want to support him, âGeorgopoulos said.
Jersey sales from July to November of this year were up 180% from the same period in 2019, the Bucks said. (Comparisons are a bit tricky due to the impact of the pandemic on fans attending games over the past two seasons.)
Brian Borkowski was one of the many fans rummaging through the store’s jerseys. Watching the game with his son, Borkowski had his hands full of shirts as he searched for a size large.
Bucks Launches Memorial Courts Collection
Besides the jerseys, the store has a variety of items that fans can purchase online or in store.
Championship gear, including sweatshirts and hats, was particularly popular. Special offers have also helped boost sales.
Two weeks ago, the Bucks launched a Memorial Grounds Collection, turning the team’s 2021 NBA Championship basketball court into collectibles for gift, gift and retail purchase.

From day one of launch, the Bucks have sold thousands of pieces of the land, and many have sold. The most popular coin in the collection is a standard $ 90 block from the lot.
The Bucks plan to add another series of championship court products to the collection, which also includes cufflinks, pendants and framed moments.
âWe have a number of unique and fun items,â Belot said.
One, the City Collection, pays homage to the history of the Bucks. These items, including sweatshirts and t-shirts, feature the Bucks’ uniform colors and fonts.
The Bucks also recently released a $ 50 â2021 Year of the Deerâ commemorative book.
Mitchell and Ness store is a new addition to the Fiserv Forum
In addition to the Bucks Pro Shop, the Bucks added a Mitchell and Ness store to the Fiserv Forum this fall. This is an upscale retro outfitter with a mobile store on the second floor. Mitchell and Ness is known for creating classic moments in the history of sports teams and for having unique products.
The store expected sales to be high, so it stocked up ahead of the season.
âWe thought the sales would be great, but I don’t think we could have predicted that we would have this growth,â Belot said.
The Fiserv Forum Bucks Pro Shop is open Tuesday to Friday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
