Mac Jones ranks fifth in NFL jersey and merchandise sales – CBS Boston

BOSTON (CBS) — Mac Jones may not yet be among the game’s best quarterbacks on the court. But off the field, he moves goods at a pace comparable to the game’s biggest stars.

The Patriots rookie quarterback ranked fifth among all NFL players in merchandise sales last year, March 1 through November 30. His final placement on the roster to include the last three months of the calendar year won’t be known until April, but for now, Jones is among some serious heavy hitters in the NFL.

The list is led by Tom Brady, followed by Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott. Bills quarterback Josh Allen ranked fourth, followed by Jones. Fellow rookie QB Justin Fields was one spot behind Jones at No. 6.

The rookies obviously started late in the jersey and merchandise sales department, as they didn’t join their teams until late April. But both QBs have clearly won over a lot of fans in a short amount of time, based on their places on this list.

Specifically, Jones ranked fifth in Fanatics jersey sales. He still has a ways to go in terms of bobbleheads, Fatheads, headbands, T-shirts and Funko! Pop! Vinyl figure sales, though. As Jones likes to say as often as possible, he always has room for improvement.
